Our polydactyl Pet of the Month for December is Mimi. She was definitely on the nice list this year. She was a purr-fect patient for her echocardiogram and her spay!
November Pet of the Month - Norman
November is for Norman! This Pet of the Month was heartworm positive when he was adopted and recently completed his heartworm treatment. Norman faced this difficult process with bravery and a paws-itive attitude.
October Pet of the Month - Maya
Maya was one of our very first patients here at Lone Star. This beautiful girl has faced her ongoing health issues with an undimmed sassy attitude.
September Pet of the Month - Sammy
Despite this frequent flyer’s many visits, diagnostics, and treatments for ongoing eye issues (including with an ophthalmologist in Austin), Sammy never lost his spunk. He is the pride and joy of his paw-rents.
August Pet of the Month - Maebel
Maebel recently had a gastropexy surgery with our mobile specialty surgeon team and recovered beautifully. Gastropexy is a procedure to prevent GDV (gastric dilatation and volvulus) in dogs, especially certain predisposed large breeds.
July Pet of the Month - Murphy
This sweet, goofy boy decided to eat a sock whole and had to undergo surgery to remove it. Luckily, Murphy recovered well and is enjoying his summer!
June Pet of the Month - Chloe
Our Pet of the Month for June is Miss Chloe!! She had her teeth cleaned, a mass removed and a skin flare up recently and she is just the sweetest and one of the best patients!! We love you, Chloe!
May Pet of the Month - Georgia Sunshine
Our Pet of the Month for May is Georgia Sunshine! She was recently diagnosed with diabetes and is now in a foster home thanks to Thundering Paws! She captured all of our hearts and we are so happy that this was all possible for her.
April Pet of the Month - Wilson
Our April Pet of the Month is.. Wilson! He has had a rough couple of months being treated for Immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA) but is now on the mend and we could not be happier for him and his family. He is the sweetest boy and we are thrilled that he is feeling better!
March Pet of the Month - Maizy
Miss Maizy was nominated as our March Pet of the Month! She underwent a bilateral TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery and is healing very well! Yay Maizy!
February Pet of the Month - Buddy
Our February Pet of the Month is Buddy! He is such a sweet boy who has had a rough couple of months dealing with skin issues and hair loss..but he is doing much better now and is on the mend. His owners have done a great job taking care of him and we are very happy to celebrate him!
January Pet of the Month - Jovie
Our first pet of the month for 2023 is sweet Jovie! She suffered an injury to her eye that resulted in it having to be removed at only 8 weeks old! She has been through so much already but she is recovering so well and does not let it slow her down. She is loving life and her new forever family. Yay Jovie!
